What to know from Packers’ first injury report of Week 18 vs. Bears

The Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report of Week 18 on Wednesday. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Friday with official playing status designations before facing the Chicago Bears in the season finale on Sunday.

Here’s everything to know from the Packers’ first injury report of Week 18:

Who didn’t participate?

The Packers were without seven players on Wednesday, and two others were limited for rest. However, the team didn’t officially practice and only had a walk-through on Wednesday, so participation reports are an estimate. Cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee), receiver Christian Watson (knee), linebacker Quay Walker (ankle), safety Evan Williams (quad), defensive end Brenton Cox Jr. (foot), safety Zayne Anderson (concussion) and offensive tackle Andre Dillard (concussion) didn’t practice, and both left guard Elgton Jenkins and tight end Tucker Kraft were rested.

Any new injuries?

Anderson (concussion) and Cox (foot) didn’t practice because of new injuries. Running back Josh Jacobs (wrist, limited), running back Chris Brooks (ankle, limited) and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt (concussion, full) also have new injuries coming out of Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.

Jaire Alexander update

Alexander didn’t practice on Wednesday. Coach Matt LaFleur revealed that Alexander had surgery and would likely miss the rest of the season. He will miss his 10th game of the season on Sunday.

What’s to know from Bears injury report?

Five players didn’t practice for the Bears on Wednesday: receiver Rome Odunze (illness), offensive lineman Teven Jenkins (calf), offensive lineman Larry Borom (illness), defensive back Elijah Hicks (ankle/foot) and running back/returner Travis Homer (hamstring).
