What to know from Indianapolis Colts’ second Week 16 injury report

Following Thursday’s practice, the Indianapolis Colts released their second injury report of the week as they continue to prepare for a divisional Week 16 matchup with the Tennessee Titans.

Let’s take a closer look at what you need to know from this edition:

– Let’s start with the good news: Michael Pittman was a full participant after not practicing on Wednesday. That potentially means Wednesday was more of a rest day for him rather than him having a setback. Also returning was Ashton Dulin in a limited fashion. This was his first practice since suffering an ankle injury against Detroit in Week 12.

– For the second day, the Colts were without four of their starters with Mo Alie-Cox, Matt Gay, EJ Speed, and Alec Pierce all missing Thursday’s practice. The practice status for these players on Friday will be important. Not to say that a player hasn’t missed all three days of practice and still played on Sunday–it’s certainly happened–but it’s not as common. For more on the potential impact, click here.

– JuJu Brents was again limited. As I said on Wednesday’s report, my guess is that there will be a ramp up period for him before we see Brents back on the field on Sundays.

– Laiatu Latu was a full participant after missing Wednesday due to an illness and Jaylon Carlies, Ryan Kelly, and Tyquan Lewis were all full participants for a second straight day–which is usually a good sign for Sundays.
