What to know about the sex allegations against Jean-Claude Van Damme

  • Actor Jean-Claude Van Damme is reportedly facing criminal charges in Romania for allegedly having sexual relations with five trafficked women.
  • The incident allegedly occurred in Cannes, France, where Van Damme is accused of receiving the women as a "gift" from a criminal group.
  • A criminal complaint has reportedly been filed with the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT).
  • Attorney Adrian Cuculis, who is representing one of the women, told Romania's Antena 3 they were “in a state of vulnerability”.
  • Van Damme's representatives have been contacted for comment, but no statement has been released yet. This incident is reportedly part of a larger, ongoing investigation into human trafficking.
