If you're looking for a new place to eat this year, then look no further than the city centre.
Located on St Vincent Street, Glasgow is now home to a new restaurant, Mowgli, founded by food writer and British chef Nisha Katona who has made regular appearances on the likes of MasterChef and This Morning cooking up mouth-watering dishes.
After first opening Mowgli Liverpool in 2014, the eatery was included in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list and a few years later, Nisha was awarded with an MBE in the 2019 New Year Honours for services to the Food Industry.

In the UK, there are currently 17 Mowgli chains with two set to open in Scotland alone. So what can we expect from Mowgli Glasgow?
Mowgli will be located where the former Handmade Burger Company was before they shut in January 2020 after the chain's collapse.
But with the new eatery only being minutes away from Glasgow Central Station and George Square, it will likely be another hit with Glaswegians and tourists alike.
Announcing the news back in March 2021, Nisha took to Instagram and said: "Oh happy day! Announcing Mowgli Glasgow! St Vincent Street opens spring 2022. Glasgow is a city close to my heart. I spent many a happy night in The Ubiquitous Chip in my student days. I’m so utterly humbled to have any hand in making her streets even more delicious.
"Today’s budget loosened much that has been calloused by the pandemic. Government doesn’t create jobs, businesses do. And today by tilling the ground, Treasury gave businesses like Mowgli an opportunity to continue to grow, to innovate, to succeed by creating jobs “where the people are”.
"And those people whose lives we want to enrich by serving up new jobs and chat bombs are for 2021/2022, the good people of Glasgow, Bristol, Cheshire Oaks, Cheltenham and Edinburgh. Today was a happy day. There is still a long way to go but this budget gave me renewed energy for the fight ahead."
The menu will cater for many people whether you're vegan or gluten-free - and they have an allergy section too so you can eat without worry.
The menu includes items such as Mowgli House Keema, Himalayan Cheese Toast and Mowgli Sticky Wings - all of which sound delicious. They also serve a variety of cocktails and mocktails - perfect for any night out.
Discussing the new eatery, Nisha told Glasgow Live: "We want our new restaurant to feel like the tired colonial buildings in Calcutta, tree roots growing through, Street food vendor‘s sizzling their golden spiced magic in corners lit only by the Amber twinkle fairy lights.
"Mowgli is a home from home, for the hungry who like this kind of stuff and continues to be for our teams and guests. It is a place that is toddler and dogs friendly, where you can spend the day with a book, plugged into a USB port."
Oh and if this wasn't enough, all of their restaurants are dog-friendly.
