What Titans CB Kristian Fulton has been up to this offseason

One of the more notable things to come out of Day 2 of Tennessee Titans organized team activities on Tuesday was the fact that cornerback Kristian Fulton is not in attendance.

At first we feared an injury to the oft-injured Fulton, but it turns out he simply has not arrived to the team’s facility yet.

When asked if the 2020 second-round pick was currently in the building, head coach Mike Vrabel had a one-word answer: “Nope.”

While this portion of the offseason program is voluntary, it is a bit surprising to see him not there. After all, this is a make-or-break year for Fulton, who will be a free agent in 2024.

The LSU product has shown he can be a game-changer and No. 1 cornerback when on the field, but his issue has been availability, with Fulton missing 10, four and six games in each of his first three seasons.

After last season, Vrabel specifically mentioned Fulton and former linebacker David Long as repeat offenders when it comes to soft-tissue injuries, which was likely a huge factor into why Long wasn’t re-signed.

So, what has Fulton been up to in 2023?

According to ESPN’s Turron Davenport, the 24-year-old has been working out in Miami since the 2022 campaign ended with the same trainer who works with LeBron James and Dwayne Wade.

Fulton’s goal, Davenport states, is to take a different approach this offseason in the hopes he can produce a different result on the health front. Among the workouts Fulton is doing are yoga and pilates.

Now, we don’t know if that’s exactly where Fulton is at this very moment, but that would be a safe assumption.

While the optics of Fulton not being at OTAs isn’t great, I can understand his desire to do something different after struggling to stay healthy in years past. I’m not sure his head coach loves it, but it’ll be well worth Vrabel’s potential frustration if Fulton can stay on the field in 2023.
