Timo Werner's agent Volker Struth has tried to aid his client's Chelsea escape as he has held face-to-face meetings with Serie A giants Juventus as the Old Lady face stern competition from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.
Werner, 26, made his 81st appearance for the Blues from the start in the Brentford humbling and Thomas Tuchel lost his cool with the once-prolific goalscorer to sum up his time so far in the capital. According to the well-known @xGPhilosophy on Twitter, Chelsea's number 11 has netted seven goals in the Premier League from an expected goals ratio of nearly 17.00 (16.77) since he completed his move in the window after the transfer ban.
His international break jibe against Chelsea didn't help at all with a fanbase who are slowly turning on a player who they used to back fully despite his insufficiencies in front of goal. The fact that there were a few boos when he was taken off against the Bees at the weekend culminated in him failing his Real Madrid audition and as a consequence, if he is fortunate, will only get minutes from the bench against Los Blancos on Wednesday night which is a complete contrast to last season's fixtures against the Spanish giants.

With a move to Borussia Dortmund being touted around the foreign media in the last few months, Chelsea Fans have been excited by the potential prospect of a potential Erling Haaland plus cash swap deal this summer. However, it seems Werner's agent Struth has different ideas as he dropped a huge hint on Instagram regarding what he may have planned for two of his clients who could well and truly be looking for new challenges for 2022/23.
As demonstrated by his latest Instagram story, he had travelled to Juve's training ground Continassa on Tuesday morning to hold face-to-face talks with the Old Lady's director Federico Cherubini as Max Allegri lines up swoops for both Werner and Benfica's Julian Weigl. The latter of the pair would be easier to pull off according to the latest reports in the Italian media with the Lisbon-based club expected to demand around £34million if they were to move the German international.
For the 26-year-old whose career has fallen off dramatically since leaving the Bundesliga, it has already been revealed that Marina Granovskaia and co are prepared to take a loss on transfer fee recuperation for the German international. The only potential sticking point in these early meetings between Juventus and his agent is that his wage demands of nearly £12m a year need to reduce significantly if Werner was to don the black and white stripes of Juventus.
