What time is the Irish Lotto draw tonight? All you need to know ahead of €19 million must-win events

Ireland has Lotto fever ahead of tonight's enormous €19million must win draw.

The current prize has been rolling over since Wednesday, June 9 and has remained capped at €19million since October 2.

With new rules meaning the jackpot WILL be won tonight, there has been a massive rush to buy tickets.

So what time is the Lotto tonight?

The draw will take place at 7.55pm.

You can find out the results on the Lotto results page after 9.15pm.

The draw can be watched live on RTE this evening.

If one or more players match all six numbers later, they will officially become Ireland’s largest ever Lotto jackpot winner.

And new rules are in effect which means if the Lotto jackpot is not won outright, the full value of the jackpot prize will flow down to the winners of the next winning prize tier.

For example, if there are no players who match 6 numbers in the draw but there are winners at the Match 5+Bonus prize tier, they will win the €19.06 million jackpot as well as the additional funds that would usually go to the jackpot.

Ahead of the historic draw, a National Lottery spokesperson appealed to people to buy their tickets early.

They said: “This is the first time in the history of the Lotto game that a ‘will be won’ event has taken place, so we are expecting an increase in interest from our players in the hours leading up to tonight’s draw.

"We are appealing to all of our players to continue to follow the health guidance currently in place and to buy their tickets early in-store, on the National Lottery App or on www.lottery.ie.”
