What time is Derry Girls on? All you need to know ahead of new series

Channel 4 confirmed the release date of the eagerly awaited season 3 of Derry Girls last week.

Lisa McGee's vision will be fully realised next Tuesday (April 12). It will be the third and final season to air on our screens.

The show follows the lives of five teenagers as they grow up in Derry. It is Channel 4's most successful comedy since Father Ted.

So what's the deal for Season 3, then? Here's all you need to know.

Where and when?

Episode one of series 3 will be on Channel 4 on Tuesday, March 12 at 9.15pm.

How long is each episode?

Each episode of the hit sitcom will air for 30 minutes.

Are all the girls (and the wee English fella) back?

Don't freak out. But... of course they're back!

All the Derry Girls - drama queen and leader of the pack Erin Quinn (played by Saoirse-Monica Jackson) boy-mad Michelle Mallon (Jamie-Lee O'Donnell), goodie-two shoes Clare Devlin (Nicola Coughlan) and space cadet Orla McCool (Louisa Harland) - are back and as mad as ever.

And yes, Derry's favourite English man is back too.

What else can we expect?

The crew and cast have been tight-lipped when it comes to the final season. Alongside Channel 4's new trailer at the end of March, a first look teaser trailer was also shared back in December last year stirring up excitement among fans.

The clip appears to show a night-time raid, with the whole group forced to put their hands up as helicopter spotlights on their faces.
