Fans of Channel 5's All Creatures Great and Small adaptation will be delighted to hear that the new series is finally returning to our screens this September with a third instalment from the Yorkshire Dales. Filming took place this summer and now the new episodes are set to be broadcast on our screens.
The third series will open in the spring of 1939 and Nicholas Ralph will return to his role as young vet James Herriot alongside Rachel Shenton as local farmer Helen Alderson - as the trailer teases that the happy couple will get wed this series. Samuel West will be reprising his role as Siegfried Farnon, with Callum Woodhouse as his younger brother Tristan and Anna Madeley as Mrs Hall.

The new series is premiering tonight, Thursday, September 15 from 9pm over on Channel 5 and you'll also be able to stream the episode on My5. This third series will contain six hour long episodes, which are expected to air each Thursday, and will also include a Christmas special, as per the previous series.
Channel 5 hint of "some big changes" at Skeldale this series and the trailer also teases the wedding viewers have been waiting for, as James and Helen finally tie the knot and Tristan is in charge of the stag do in tonight's episode.
"James enters into a new stage of his life with Helen and at the practice," A synopsis from Channel 5 reads: "Tristan is now also a qualified vet. After being made joint business partner by Siegfried, James pushes to take on more responsibility via the Ministry of Agriculture’s new bovine TB testing scheme, but its unexpected challenges risk pushing him to breaking point. As a potential Second World War looms, all of our Skeldale family have to consider their purpose in Darrowby and beyond."
