The 2022 Oscars ceremony will take place tonight (27 March) in LA, featuring hosts Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes. The trio are the first official hosts since 2018.
The Radio Times reports that producer Will Packer said of the awards: "This year's show is all about uniting movie lovers. It's apropos that we've lined up three of the most dynamic, hilarious women with very different comedic styles."
"I know the fun Regina, Amy and Wanda will be having will translate to our audience as well. Many surprises in store! Expect the unexpected!"

One of the most glamourous nights in the Hollywood calendar, this year's event sees big potential wins for the likes of Dune (10 nominations), The Power of the Dog (12 nominations), and Belfast (six nominations). Will Smith will be looking to repeat his BAFTA success (Best Leading Actor) by winning Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his part as tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams' father in King Richard.
The ceremony will also feature live performances by Beyonce, Billie Eilish, Sebastián Yatra and Reba McEntire. The first-ever Academy Awards ceremony took place in the Blossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on 16 May 1929. This year is the 94th Oscars award ceremony.

The event is scheduled to take place at 5pm local time in California, which means anyone wanting to watch the awards ceremony live is in for a late night – the show will begin at 1am GMT and usually goes on for around three hours.
