What time are the Rugby League World Cup matches on TV today?

The Rugby League World Cup finally kicks off this weekend after a 12-month delay.

The opening match of the tournament will see England take on Samoa in Group A at St James' Park in Newcastle.

Welsh fans will have to wait until Wednesday evening before they see their team in action. John Kear's side will face the Cook Islands at Leigh Sports Village in their first Group D match.

The BBC have got broadcasting rights for this year's tournament, and all games will be shown across their channels.

Here is the full schedule of fixtures this weekend:

SATURDAY

Group A

England v Samoa - St James' Park, Newcastle - 2:30PM - BBC ONE

Group B

Australia v Fiji - Headingley Stadium, Leeds - 7:30PM - BBC TWO

SUNDAY

Group B

Scotland v Italy - Kingston Park, Newcastle - 2:30PM - BBC TWO

Group C

Jamaica v Ireland - Headingley Stadium, Leeds - 5:00PM - BBC TWO
