Football is back!
Finally, after two and a half long months the FA Community Shield kicks off the new season when Manchester City and Liverpool face off the King Power this evening.
FA and League Cup winners Liverpool have had a busy summer and have broke the bank on Darwin Nunez. The former Benfica striker has already lit up pre-season, scoring four goals in one half against RB Leipzig.

City have also added to their squad this summer, with Kalvin Phillips and Julian Alvarez joining Marquee signing Erling Haaland in the North of England. The Cityzens have also seen a number of fan favourites depart the club this summer, with Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko both departing for Arsenal.

Team News
Liverpool have a string on injuries to deal with. The most serious of which is Alex Oxlade Chamberlain. The Englishman suffered a hamstring injury against Crystal Palace in pre-season and will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.
The Reds are in a bit of bother in the goalkeeping department as well. Ireland's Caoimhín has been ruled out through injury while Alisson is also unavailable for today's game. Adrian is expected to start as a result.
Aymeric Laporte will miss the first month of the new season for City with a knee injury.
