Contract uncertainty continues to surround Chelsea defender Thiago Silva. The 38-year-old's current deal expires in the summer and Silva has kept tight-lipped on his future.
"In public is not the right time to talk about new contracts, so I can not accurately answer this question," said the Brazilian.
"For me now, what is important is to continue playing to a high level and helping the team achieve the best possible results. For sure, there will be a time when we will need to talk.
"It could be before the World Cup or after the World Cup because, of course, I need to know whether I will have a new contract with Chelsea for my family arrangements. It is not easy."

Despite his age and his uncertain future, Silva is continuing to prove his worth to Chelsea. The defender took the captain's armband in the game at Aston Villa and led his side to a 2-0 victory against Steven Gerrard's men.
He has played the full 90 minutes in 11 of the Blues' 13 games so far this season. Graham Potter has been impressed with Silva, but the 47-year-old has claimed that whether the defender puts pen to paper on a new deal is completely up to the player.
However, Silva's commitment and love for Chelsea certainly can't be questioned and Blues fans will love what he did after the final whistle at Villa Park. The centre-back went over to applaud the away supporters, took off his shirt and kissed the Chelsea badge in front of the travelling fans.
It remains to be seen whether Silva signs a new contract, but he certainly looks as though he's still loving his time at Chelsea.
