One social media user claims the type of t-shirt a person wears says a lot about their personality. From vests with deep V-necks to skintight t-shirts, there are many variations and fits people feel most comfortiable in.
George Clarke, who hosts The Useless Hotline Podcast, often shares funny snippets on his TikTok account @georgeclarkeey, where he boasts over 1.7million followers.
In a recent video, George started off his funny observations by saying that if you wear an extra long t-shirt, he assumes you also have a rose tattoo on the back of your hand.
He added: "I also assume that you're pick pocket-proof, as you're basically 90% vacuum-wrapped in t-shirt," with a nod to how tight some of these t-shirts can be.
If your partner wears a super low V-neck, George claims they are usually smooth all over – and certainly don't have hairs poking out of their low-cut garment. He added that he assumes that they "smile" while getting their "whole body waxed".
Next, George comments on those who wear muscle-fit t-shirts, who he says tend to be so big they "struggle to fit through doors" because of their "size" – not only physically but also the size of their head.
"Don't throw a dumbbell at me," he joked.
Then he shared observations about people who wear polo shirts, often with their collars folded up.
He said: "I assume that when you were younger you treated that big red Dangerous Book for Boys like the Bible."
George then called out all those who wear film merchandise, saying they have "little-to-no personality yourself but won't refrain from judging other people's outfits".
He continued: "If you wear an oversized t-shirt I assume that when you picked it off the rail you said 'I like this piece'. What do you mean piece? Are you planning on playing chess with it?"
Seemingly calling himself out, he shared a picture of himself in a baggy t-shirt, adding: "I also assume you think it makes you look like a fashionista. No, you look like a 12-year-old who has raised his dad's cupboard."
During the summer you may have seen many men wearing a so-called stringer vest, which is sometimes associated with the gym. George said: "If you wear a stringer vest I assume the only currency you work in is lad point."
If you wear a t-shirt with a really wide collar, George assumes you're the type of person who cares about their appearance, and doesn't want to mess their hair up.
Many people in the comment section felt called out after George said he assumes those who buy t-shirts from charity shops call it "vintage" and boast to your entire friendship group about how much you paid for it.
One person said: "That charity shop one was a personal attack."
However, George added the warning: "These are merely jokes, not funny ones but jokes nevertheless, if you take offence about someone’s opinion on a t-shirt I warn you I will laugh."
