Boston Celtics reserve floor general Malcolm Brogdon was very nearly dealt to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of a three-team deal bringing back star big man Kristaps Porzingis that would eventually be amended to instead swap veteran point guard Malcolm Brogdon to the Memphis Grizzlies.
But, until recently, what the package the Clippers would have sent out had that version of the deal been acted on was unknown. Now, with word of how the deal might have looked had Los Angeles not gotten cold feet over Brogdon’s health known, the hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast weighed in on the deal that might have been vs. the one that was, and how the trajectory of the franchise might have been altered.
Check out the clip embedded below to hear for yourself what they had to say about the swap that could have sent out the 2023 Sixth Man of the Year for Porzingis instead.
