Celtic have secured a historic eighth domestic Treble after seeing off Inverness Caledonian Thistle, a feat that isn't lost on former star Ryan Christie.
The Hoops were on course to break records under Ange Postecoglou and achieved another one in the trophy cabinet after already securing the Scottish Premiership and Viaplay Cup this campaign. It was a cauldron of emotion at the national stadium as Kyogo smashed the ball home in the first half to bring the Treble hopes alive before Liel Abada added a second. There was a brief Caley Thistle fightback before Jota sealed the deal in injury time.
And while there has been the elephant in the room of Tottenham Hotspur's interest in the Australian, the pundits were keen to stress how the 57-year-old has managed to secure five trophies during his spell in Glasgow as a remarkable effort from the Parkhead side.
Here is what the pundits had to say after the Hampden final.
Ryan Christie
"The treble is the best thing you can do over a season in club football.
"I know first hand how hard it is to complete that feat. A lot of people thought it would be more comfortable against Inverness but they got the job done. They are a joy to watch.
"In the first 20 minutes, Inverness did really well, they frustrated Celtic. Their shape was really good and although Celtic had a lot of the ball, they didn't create much. Celtic were forced to just stay wide. O'Riley was getting frustrated, and Allardice and Welsh were dealing with him well.
"The thing with Kyogo up front is, he only needs one chance. He's lethal."
James McFadden
"Inverness Caley Thistle put up a decent enough fight but Celtic always had that change of gear. They're so dangerous going forward, absolutely relentless. They run out comfortable winners in the end.
"A treble is incredible for Ange Postecoglou, it finishes off a wonderful season for Celtic. It's job done."
Chris Sutton
"Well played Ange Postecoglou and Celtic. The first big team to a treble this season! What a job Postecoglou has done. Let’s hope it’s not the end."
Neil McCann
"I think the Celtic fans could be disappointed, I think this could be his last game in charge. If it is, what a wonderful way to go.
"He's a guy that could go down there [Spurs] on his own because he won't need to take a big staff with him. He's so bullish in his own ideas and how to implement that he would go there and make his mark immediately.
"He's going in to a realm of a different stratosphere in terms of finances, if he takes a job like Spurs. They have the best stadium in the world, amazing training facilities and a transfer budget he can smash.
"The standards of this club is so high. A lot of people down south might think this is easy done. 'Ange has a huge budget, they're Celtic they should win every trophy.' It's not as easy as that. You aren't given them, you have to earn them all the time.
"Inverness pushed them, scored a great goal. But ultimately, the quality that Ange can delve into, the superior fitness as well...Celtic never stopped the rhythm. Today, they were a cut above."
