It was a much loved period television show watched by millions - and more than 12 years after it went off the air Heartbeat is still remembered fondly by many.
Running from 1992 to 2010, the show was filmed in the North York Moors National Park and the village of Goathland.
It centered around main character PC Nick Rowan, played by former Eastenders star Nick Berry for the first six years before he left the show, Leicestershire Live reports.
The drama continued on after Berry's departure for another 12 years.
At its peak, the show attracted more than 10 million viewers in the early series and was a firm fixture for Sunday evening viewers.
Nick Berry
Nick played PC Nick Rowan in Heartbeat from 1992 to 1998, but he is probably best known for playing Simon Wicks in EastEnders between 1985 and 1990.
After Nick left Heartbeat he went to BBC1 series Harbour Lights and then starred in the crime drama In Deep alongside Stephen Tompkinson. He's now a househusband, retired from acting.
Berry set up his own production company, Valentine Productions, but resigned from it in 2018.

Niamh Cusack
Niamh played the character of Dr. Kate Rowan from 1992 until 1995. Her character died from leukaemia in series 5 leaving her policeman husband Nick, played by Nick Berry, a widower.
She is described as having been born to a family with deep roots in the performing arts - her sisters Sinéad Cusack and Sorcha Cusack are also are also established actresses.
Her acting credits include a number of TV and film roles and she has feature din high profile shows such as Silent Witness and Poirot. Her most recent credits include the TV series Brassic and the Father Brown series.
Tricia Penrose
Tricia played her longest-running role as Gina Ward in Heartbeat, appearing in over 300 episodes. Her popular character was introduced in series two.
Tricia is now an ambassador for Roy Castle after her mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2010.
She is also a director of Simply Luxury Travel, a company that specialises in luxury holidays, as well as the director of Adlington Memorial Park, England's largest private natural burial ground in Adlington Cheshire.
Jason Durr
Jason was the longest-serving policeman of the show until 2003 when he left to pursue other acting opportunities across British TV.
He appeared in Inspector Lewis as DI Peterson and starred in shows like Midsomer Murders and New Tricks.
Jason is now a regular actor in Casualty, appearing as David Hinde and, more recently, he took part in a COVID-19 vaccine trial after his mum died of the virus in 2020.

Bill Maynard
The East Midlands' own Bill Maynard played lovable rogue Claude Jeremiah Greengrass from the start of the series until the year 2000, when he was forced to retire from the programme following a series of strokes.
But despite his ailing health, he still managed a return to acting in 2002 to reprise the role of Greengrass in heartbeat spin-off The Royal, which was set in a fictional hospital in Scarborough.
Bill, who moved to Leicestershire from Farnham as a child, lived in Burbage for the latter part of his life, and sadly died in 2018 at the age of 89.
Mark Jordan
Mark played PC Phil Bellamy from 1992 to 2007 - a laid-back officer who was eventually killed off.
Following his time on Heartbeat, Mark landed roles in Casualty, Hollyoaks, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
Mark welcomed a son last year called Jesse.
Nikki Sanderson
Nikki appeared as the popular Dawn Bellamy from 2008 to 2009. Her character was sent to stay with Gina at the pub to get away from a bad crowd in Manchester and she soon became a fan favourite.
The former Coronation Street actress - who was Candice on the cobbles - is now best known for playing Maxine Minnver in Hollyoaks, making her debut in 2012.
Derek Fowls
Derek played Oscar Blaketon in the police drama for its entire running.
Derek retired largely from acting after Heartbeat, and he then wrote an autobiography, A Part Worth Playing in 2015.
Derek sadly died in 2020 at the age of 82 following heart complications and sepsis.
William Simons
Welsh-born actor William Simons played PC Alf Ventress in Heartbeat for the span of the show.
William was also a patron of the charity Changing Face, which supports people with facial deformities.
He died aged 78 in June 2019.
David Lonsdale
David played the role of a village buffoon called David Stockwell. He became a regular cast member from series eight onwards, providing comic relief to the cast.
Once Heartbeat ended, David tried his hand at other soaps, landing roles in Emmerdale and Casualty.
David has appeared in theatre productions in recent years including at the New Vic Theatre and also in local pantomimes in the North. He also had a small role in the Downton Abbey movie in 2019, playing a desk sergeant.
