The Boston Celtics suffered a tough loss to the Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday on the heels of another to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the post-game interview with head coach Joe Mazzulla was bizarre and off-putting for some fans and media.
The Celtics struggled offensively throughout the game vs. Philly, and shades of their past struggles seemed to haunt them. While some believe it’s too early to panic, others feel the Celtics need to address the team’s defensive shortcomings and lack of effort on the boards. In a post-game interview, Mazzulla’s odd responses raised questions about his mindset and tactics. The focus on 3-point shooting and Mazzulla’s reference to a seven-year-old article added to the confusion.
