What's the best fish and chip shop in Greater Manchester?

With warmer weather and lighter evenings, it's getting towards that time of year when a meal from your favourite chippy is even more special.

However, it's not always easy to find a high quality chippy that ticks all the boxes. The other week, we saw three Greater Manchester chippies make it into the top 50 in the UK.

The Fish at Goose Green in Wigan, The Little Chippy in Tyldesley and Chips @ No.8 in Prestwich were all voted into the top 50 by a panel of mystery diners. They were rated on cleanliness, staff knowledge and professionalism, social media presence and the all-important food score.
