The Easter bank holiday will see an abundance of diverse events happening in Dublin, from a festival dedicated to one of the greatest musicians of all time to family friendly Easter events and more.

Dublin Bowie Festival

A whole festival dedicated to one of the most legendary musicians of all time is nothing short of fitting.

Dublin Bowie Festival kicked off this week and is now in full swing. This Sunday, April 17, you can catch The Last Temptation of Christ (starring David Bowie) at The Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield.

On Monday, little Bowie fans can enjoy Let All The Children Boogie at The Church Bar and Restaurant on Mary Street. The Bowie Brothers will be performing Bowie’s greatest tracks live between 3 and 5pm.

Philo at Bewley's Cafe

A hilarious tale of two Dublin women from very different backgrounds lands at Bewley's Cafe Theatre and runs until Saturday, April 23.

The story follows Philo, her big personality and her nun boss who seems worlds apart from her, until we, the audience, learn that the two are running from their respective pasts.

Easter egg hunts in and around Dublin

An abundance of Easter egg hunts and family events are taking place for the weekend that's in it.

Between April 9 and 18, Bohernabreena Easter Bunny Trail takes place.

On Saturday, April 16 at 10:30am, 11:15am and 12:30, there will be an Easter egg hunt in aid of an orphanage in Ghana at Bancroft Park.

Tiny Tots Easter at EPIC

Taking place this Saturday, April 16, Europe's top museum invites families to celebrate Easter in its state of the art attraction.

The staff will introduce visitors to the Easter Puca, Ireland’s most mischievous fairy trickster. He will explore Easter traditions around the world in an interactive storytelling workshop suitable for families with children aged six and under.

Mother Dublin

One of Dublin's top club nights returns this Sunday as Mother takes place in Lost Lane on Grafton Street.

Mother DJs are joined by Steve Manning for a night of non-stop tunes and overall great vibes.

The Comedy Crunch at The Stag's Head

The Comedy Crunch takes place at The Stag's Head this Sunday, April 17. The show starts at 9pm, with free entry and even free ice cream.

The line-up includes Emma Doran more gas folk, and promises to be a lot of laughs.
