With the 2024 Summer Olympics in full swing in Paris, Peacock continues to be a viewing home for those in the US looking to check in with Simone Biles, Noah Lyles, Katie Ledecky and the rest of the American athletes.
However, beyond the Olympics, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about what’s on Peacock this August. Not only is a hit show returning, but a new comedy produced by NBA champion Steph Curry debuts and Love Island USA season 6 continues its popular run with a reunion special.

Best TV show on Peacock in August: Bel-Air season 3 (August 15)
Bel-Air season 3 makes its debut this month, which is great news for fans who have been wondering what happens next for Will (Jabari Banks), Geoffrey (Jimmy Akingbola) and the Banks family. With season 3 focusing on the summer, I have to wonder what kind of antics Will and Carlton (Olly Sholotan) get into outside of school.
Also premiering this month is Mr. Throwback on August 8. The comedy is produced by Steph Curry and follows a memorabilia dealer looking to make amends with none other than Curry himself.
And I’d be remiss if I didn’t additionally name the Love Island USA season 6 reunion as a must-watch event, hitting the streamer on August 19.
Best movie on Peacock in August: The Fall Guy (August 30)
Calling all fans of action-comedy, Ryan Gosling or Emily Blunt. All three are in the hit The Fall Guy, a movie we raved about in our review and is "Certified Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes. It follows a stuntman and his director ex-girlfriend as they work to uncover a real crime surrounding a movie. If that weren’t interesting enough, the extended cut version also becomes available on the streamer.
Additionally, Classic comedies like Major Payne, Beethoven and Clueless stream on Peacock in August.
Best sporting event on Peacock in August: 2024 Olympics (through August 11)
Obviously, the 2024 Summer Olympics continues to be my recommended pick to watch on Peacock this month. Between Team USA’s basketball, gymnastics and track teams competing, there are plenty of events for people to watch. I haven’t even mentioned all the tennis and soccer matches, the synchronized diving competition or some of the other events featured in the summer games. A literal multitude for sports fans.
