What's new beautiful? The expert’s guide to this week’s best beauty

Oribe Serene Scalp Densifying Shampoo - (Oribe)

After weeks of glorious sunshine, it seems that the weather may have other plans for Easter weekend. Is it joking? It certainly feels like a farce - wellies and waterproofs weren’t exactly on my vision board for Friday.

Still, in the festive spirit, may I suggest the following - just launched - as excellent Easter gifts to self: small joys, without the sugar crash and easier on the waistband.

Oribe Serene Scalp Densifying Shampoo

Designed to help those frustrated with thinning hair achieve the impression of thick, luscious volume, this clever wash works to plump and densify strands to excellent effect. Expect bounce and shine with minimal effort. £48 (uk.oribe.com)

(U Beauty)

U Beauty Multimodal Sheer Mineral SPF 25 PA +++++

Entrepreneur and U Beauty founder Tina Chen Craig launched U Beauty back in 2019, motivated by her confusion over what to use in her regime and when. The result was a smart, strategic edit of hybrid products harnessing clever ingredient blends so that users could streamline their routine.

No exception to the rule, the brand’s latest offering delivers rigorous suncare, skincare and a beautifully lightweight, blurring primer in a single step. No it’s not cheap, but it does work hard, swooshing on like a dream over skincare, sitting pretty under makeup and even worn alone on the weekend with a bit of blusher thanks to its subtle blurring powers. £94 at cultbeauty.co.uk

Penhaligon’s Fortuitous Finley Eau de Parfum (Penhaligon’s)

Penhaligon’s Fortuitous Finley Eau de Parfum

The magnificent bottle aside, I am very taken by this frisky new fume from Penhaligon’s. Designed for men (but who’s checking), and described as a “stable scent for a wild horse,” (!!!) it intends to capture the thrill of the chase, but more importantly delivers some of my favorite smells; pistachio, cardamon, violet and leather, all seasoned with salt. Giddy up! £245 for 77ml (penhaligans.com)

(Estelle Bingham)

Estelle Bingham Manifest Your True Essence: Hay House UK

A revered presence in London’s wellness world, energetic healer Estelle Bingham brings a refined emotional intelligence matched and remarkable spiritual fluency to the healing space. Part energy work, part manifestation, part intuitive therapy, her sessions (which have been described by many as sacred), are powerful, deeply attuned and remarkably transformative.

Her new book draws on Bingham’s 20+ years spent supporting her clients, delivering a rigorously tried and tested framework to help you not just heal, but also achieve your ambitions. £14.99 (estellebingham.com)

(To My Ships)

To My Ships Stand Up Bravely Spray on Deodorant

A deodorant formulated in the tradition of haute parfumerie? My ears were pricked! Founded by former Aesop executive Daniel Bense, To My Ships is a new personal care brand hoping to nudge our behaviour in a conscious direction with natural ingredients, fine fragrance, beautiful design and post-consumer recycled, refillable packaging. Crisp, fresh and earthy, oof this deo smells good, and functions well too. Just allow a few days for your pit microbiome to adjust to the changes in bacterial activity associated with switching to a natural deodorant. £35 (tomyships.com)
