Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray believes that Erik ten Hag will not recall Amad from his loan spell because he is enjoying his football at the Stadium of Light.
The beginning of Amad's loan spell in the North East was a struggle for the Ivorian. United's 20-year-old struggled to make an impact in the first team and would subsequently drop into the U21s for their match with Leeds United.
However, the forward managed to turn his season on its head when he scored for the Black Cats in their 4-2 defeat at home to Burnley. Since then, Amad has managed to notch another four goals and has become a regular for Mowbray.

His form has led to suggestions that he will be recalled to Old Trafford, especially considering his parent club's lack of strikers at present. But speaking to the Chronicle, Mowbray is confident that his loanee will stay at Sunderland.
"I'm pretty sure that's something that's not even been questioned," he explained when asked about the possibility of Amad rejoining the Reds. "I think they [United] are happy.
"On the back of Amad's loan last season [at Rangers], I think it's such a better position for him and for his football club at this moment that he stays [at Sunderland] and plays his football with a smile on his face. Hopefully he will keep scoring and creating chances for us.
"I haven't heard that from Erik ten Hag's voice, I'm just assuming that that's the case with his football club because there haven't been any rumours that they might be doing this and this. My experience tells me he is in a really good place, so leave him, let him enjoy his football, and let him grow and develop.
"Otherwise, what's he doing? He could go back to Manchester United and maybe not even get on their bench.
"He's a young guy who's had a tough period, he's now found a bit of form and somewhere where he is settled and looking happy, so I would just let him keep going." Amad will be looking to be amongst the goals in Sunderland's next match at home to Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day.
