What's Celtic's best striking option if Kyogo is missing and will Steven Davis play for Rangers again? Monday Jury

What's the best striking option for Celtic if Kyogo is missing?

KEITH JACKSON: Daizen Maeda is on a hot streak and has always been one of Ange Postecoglou’s go-to-guys. He’ll get the nod to lead the line through the middle with Hyeon-Gyu Oh as back up from the bench.

ANDY NEWPORT: Celtic knew they’d be taking a risk in letting Giorgos Giakoumakis and it might just come back to bite them if Kyogo doesn’t recover for the Viaplay Cup Final. This is a chance for big Oh to get a run but I’d expect Ange Postecoglou to go with Daizen Maeda’s pace and energy at Hampden.

CRAIG SWAN: Oh Hyeon-gyu was signed as a striker, but Daizen Maeda and Liel Abada can play through the middle and might be better options as the young Korean adjusts to life at Parkhead.

MICHAEL GANNON: Oh Hyen-gyu is an interesting one but he needs to get up to speed. Daizen Maeda played through the middle for Japan at the World Cup and is more than up to the job.

Will Steven Davis play again for Rangers?

KEITH: Yes. It’ll be a long way back for the Northern Irishman but he remains a hugely influential character at the football club. Michael Beale has already hinted that there’s a new contract waiting for the veteran - along with a potential coaching role - and Davis isn’t ready to hang up his boots just yet.

ANDY: Judging by his comments this week, it doesn’t sound like the Northern Ireland skipper is so sure himself. He’d obviously hate for the curtain to come down on a proud career in these sad circumstances but at 38, he faces a lengthy trek back to full fitness. I couldn’t blame him if he decides he’s had enough.

CRAIG: Long shot. Things change quickly in football and fighting back from such a serious injury at this stage of his career will be an almighty effort.

MICHAEL: You wouldn’t write him off but it looks a tall order. Davis has been a magnificent servant but Rangers need to be looking to the future.

Were Motherwell right to part with Steven Hammell and can Stuart Kettlewell spark an instant revival?

KEITH: They were left with no option in the end. Hammell remains a club legend but he couldn’t buy a result as boss. So much so that the cup exit at Raith Rovers on Saturday didn’t even come as a shock. Kettlewell will need to be some sort of miracle worker to keep this squad in the top flight. Good luck to him.

ANDY: They had no other choice sadly. Binning a club legend is never easy but Well were only heading in one direction with Hammell in charge and that was down. Kettlewell is a decent coach but he still has to work with the same hopeless squad that have now got two bosses bulleted this season. I fear for the Steelmen.

CRAIG: Kettlewell has got the managerial talent and the experience to do the job and Motherwell were left with no choice over Hammell. The slide was irreversible.

MICHAEL: Hammell is a club legend and one of the game’s good guys, so it was tough to see the job take its toll. They might have done him a favour. Kettlewell has experience and a cool head. He might need a miracle to get a tune out of this injury and confidence hit squad though.

Will Darvel beat Falkirk and make the Scottish Cup quarter finals?

KEITH: The biggest problem for Darvel is that they’re almost expected to take another SPFL scalp now that they have registered the biggest Scottish Cup surprise of all time. But that doesn’t mean it can’t happen again. If they perform at the same level as they did against Aberdeen then a place in the quarter-finals is achievable. Who says romance is dead?

ANDY: Why not? Taking Aberdeen’s scalp was obviously an incredible result but the Ayrshire outfit have also proved themselves capable against League One standard having dumped Montrose out the cup too so they should have no fears in facing the Bairns.

CRAIG: Darvel proved they can handle League One opposition when hammering Montrose earlier in the competition, but Falkirk will be a tough nut to crack. It could go all the way.

MICHAEL: It might be weirdly tougher for them than the Aberdeen game given the expectation but if Darvel play with the same freedom, they can keep the dream alive.
