What rivals think of Manchester United under Erik ten Hag

West Ham forward Michail Antonio believes Manchester United could be one of the most impressive sides in the new Premier League season following their productive summer under new manager Erik ten Hag.

United begin their first season under Ten Hag when they host Brighton at Old Trafford on Sunday and will be looking for three points to get off to the perfect start. The Dutchman has already made his presence felt at the club with his methodical playing style and intense training sessions, and he'll hope to see those ideas come to fruition this weekend.

Antonio still thinks there is work to do before United are clear title challengers again, but he believes that Ten Hag's side will be one of the teams to look out for across the new campaign.

“I’m not saying they are going to win the league," Antonio said on his BBC podcast. "I’m not going to say that, but I’m saying what I’ve seen of them in pre-season, and what I’ve heard about their training with the new manager, I think they are going to impress this year.”

The West Ham star went on to reveal he has United 'sources', adding: “I’m hearing some big things,” about Ten Hag's immediate impact this summer.
