What other celebrity authors are there as Taylor Swift’s children’s book soars up charts

Taylor Swift’s children’s book has topped the bestseller chart months before its release after fans queued up to order the book.

The tale is a release from Penguin Random House’s Little Golden Book series – the 24-page work will tell the tale of Swift’s rise to fame.

Taylor Swift: A Golden Book Biography will be released on May 2 and has already topped the best children’s musical books list and is currently on the number three spot on the best children’s biographies list.

Written by Wendy Loggia and illustrated by Peruvian artist Elisa Chavarri, the book’s description states: “This Little Golden Book about Taylor Swift – the singer and songwriter whose distinctive talent for storytelling has made her one of the biggest superstars in both country and pop music – is an inspiring read-aloud for young children as well as their Swiftie parents!”

Beyoncé

Queen B has also appeared in the book series, with her tale explaining her rise from a shy little girl in Houston, Texas to the superstar she is today.

The book description reads: “Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child, one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Beyoncé continues to inspire and demonstrate that dreams – no matter how big – can be achieved through hard work and determination. Michelle Obama has called her a “role model for us all”.

Dolly Parton

Parton’s book was published to “help little children dream big” and is dubbed the perfect introduction to books for little ones not even at school yet.

The description says: “What’s not to love about Dolly Parton? The multi-talented entertainer is generous, humble, smart and funny. This Little Golden Book biography shares how someone from incredibly poor beginnings can blossom and persevere to become an award-winning songwriter and singer, actress, author, literacy advocate – and she even has her own theme park!”

Oprah Winfrey

Talkshow host Oprah Winfrey also has a book in the series. She is dubbed as “one of the most influential and successful women in the world” with the book called “an inspiring read-aloud for young children”.

Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen is a favourite for all ages (PA Archive)

Bruce appears in his own biography in the series with the book dubbed a delight for “little people as well as their parents and grandparents” who love the music. His tale is on how he rose to fame and has stayed relevent for all ages.

King Charles

King Charles III has a book dedicated to him (PA Wire)

The new monarch, King Charles III, also features in the series for young people.

The book description reads: “King Charles III, the former Prince of Wales,  and the oldest monarch to take the throne is an inspiring read-aloud – and a royal lesson in patience – for young girls and boys.”
