Arsenal’ s summer is heating up nicely heading into the final few weeks of the break before the upcoming campaign. Pre-season is in full swing now, with the Gunners making their trip to the USA, where they will face Everton on Sunday in a friendly.
Off the pitch, plenty of work has already been put in, with four new signings joining the club at this stage. A fifth new face could soon make their way to the Emirates as Arsenal have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign the versatile Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The Ukraine international has two years left on his deal at the Etihad, with a fee of roughly £30million settled upon. The 25-year-old would be able to offer left-back cover as well as an option in midfield as he searches for game time.

Should he make the move, Zinchenko would reunite with more than one familiar face. Not only would he work under manager Mikel Arteta, who was formerly assistant manager at Manchester City, but he would reunite with striker Gabriel Jesus.
The Brazilian moved to north London in a deal worth £45million as the side look to solve their goal scoring issues heading into the next campaign. After announcing his move on social media, Jesus was greeted with plenty of praise from all over world football.
Zinchenko was one of those who did so, saying in his post: “Phenomenal. What a player and person. True warrior which never gonna stop. I wish you all the best my brother.”
It may not be too long before he joins up with him again heading into the brand new season.
