What Oleksandr Zinchenko did after William Saliba stunner vs Bournemouth will please Arsenal fans

Having sung William Saliba's name for most of the first half, despite Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard stealing the show, Arsenal fans have a new cult hero.

Their French defender, who only made his league debut on the opening day against Crystal Palace, has taken to life at the heart of Mikel Arteta's defence brilliantly, winning the man of the match award in his first game and now making a serious name for himself.

The 21-year-old found an astonishing way to open his account for Arsenal - who he joined in 2019 - by stroking in a shot with his weaker foot into the top corner, capping off a great performance for the Gunners.

Saliba's second ever senior goal, his first in England, was Arsenal's ninth of the season, and was a statement way to go back to the top of the Premier League table.

After casually curling Granit Xhaka's delicate lay off past Mark Travers, Arsenal players flocked to Saliba in front of the adoring Arsenal fans, but there was one player who didn't join the celebrations.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, so taken aback by what his defensive partner had just done, instead stood motionless on the edge of the box with his hands on his head in disbelief. The Ukrainian couldn't believe what he'd seen and dropped to his knees, holding his arms aloft almost in disgust that Saliba had hidden his finishing talents from him!

It even gained praise from one of English football's best finishers, Gary Lineker, who tweeted:

Zinchenko is yet to score for his new club and might now have to take lessons from Saliba for final-third practice.
