Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing Napoli star Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window. The Blues are searching for a new No.9 after selling Kai Havertz to Arsenal in a £65million deal.
Despite the recent arrivals of Christopher Nkunku - who played as a striker for RB Leipzig - and Nicolas Jackson, Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to add a clinical striker to his squad. The Argentine is hoping to drastically improve Chelsea's fortunes next season with the aim of returning to the Champions League and challenging for trophies.
Osimhen was one of the best strikers in Europe last term as he featured 32 times for Napoli, scoring 26 goals. While the Italian giants are desperate to hold onto Osimhen this summer, football.london understands that the Blues are considering a bid which could cost at least £100million.
Sky Sports Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed the 24-year-old will cost €150million (£128.8million) this summer. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has insisted that he is not interested in sitting down with any club who offers a penny short of their asking price.
Following Napoli's Serie A title success, manager Luciano Spaletti stepped down from his role but admitted that Osimhen will have a bright future wherever he plays next season. Speaking to DAZN, as quoted by Football Italia, Spalletti claimed: "When players start working in a certain way, you identify their characteristics and find paths to give them service.
"Osimhen is good in open spaces, in the air, with the ball passed to his feet. He will have an important future, no matter what team he plays in, and is above all a good lad too.

"His teammates love him, he helps them out and resolves situations rather than complains. He will become even more of a top player in future."
TuttoNapoli have now stated that Osimhen may sign a new contract with the Italian outfit as Napoli look to end speculation that the Nigerian striker could complete a transfer to the Premier League this summer. Chelsea are thought to be monitoring a number of options - including the likes of Osimhen and Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic - and could face competition from Manchester United for the Nigerian's signature.
Who would you keep or sell at Chelsea this summer...?
