What Moises Caicedo has 'told friends' about potential Liverpool transfer

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo has reportedly "told friends" he wants to join Liverpool.

The Ecuador international has emerged as a transfer link for the Reds after being linked with a move in the summer and now Liverpool are reportedly back to reignite their interest.

Liverpool have struggled in the Premier League so far this term and it has become clear more than one midfielder is needed with Caicedo fitting the bill for what Jurgen Klopp needs.

Brighton have made it clear they do not intend to sell their midfield star this month, with former boss Graham Potter also said to be keen to take Caicedo to Chelsea.

However, despite Chelsea's interest, Football Insider believes the 21-year-old is "definitely interested" in signing for Liverpool and is said to have told those closest to him.

Brighton CEO Paul Barber spoke directly about Liverpool’s interest in Caicedo as he told journalist Ben Jacobs on Friday: “I’m pleased to say we haven’t had any [offers], maybe they [Liverpool] haven’t got my email."
