Jurgen Klopp is convinced Mohamed Salah will be remembered as one of the best strikers of all time after the Egyptian helped end Liverpool’s travel sickness.
Salah scored twice in the first half as the Reds withstood a second-half Tottenham Hotspur comeback to earn a 2-1 Premier League win in London on Sunday.
The 30-year-old now has 14 goals for the season and has netted 10 times in his last 10 outings, having scored only four times in his first 10.

And asked about Salah’s form, Liverpool boss Klopp said: “Mo had a slow start, but he was involved in the most chances in Europe in football but he didn’t take them and we didn’t take them. That’s what can happen as a striker, it’s completely normal.
“When you look back at his career in four, five, six years, everybody will remember one of the best strikers they ever saw because his numbers will be absolutely insane.
“But tonight what pleased me the most was he scored the two goals but he played like a real, real team player. I wasn’t surprised by it but it was just important. He was all about first defending, and then he will get his chances again (in the second half).
“He has a pretty big one which he takes with one touch, if he takes with two touches he could have finished it off. Really pleased for him, top performance and showed outstanding attitude.”
Harry Kane pulled a goal back for Tottenham with 20 minutes remaining but the Reds held on to earn their first away league win of the season – their longest wait for such a victory since 2006.
Key to the defensive resolve was the performance of Ibrahima Konate, the France international making his first Premier League start of the campaign after two spells out through injury.
And Klopp added: “I’m absolutely delighted with his contribution. Ibou first half he was outstanding, top game but this is now really intense for him, he had now two starts in a row. I hope he is fine and we can go from here.”
