What Mohamed Salah did for PSG star after Egypt win AFCON quarter-final

Mohamed Salah took time out from Egypt’s celebrations after progressing to the African Cup of Nations semi-finals on Sunday, to console Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi.

The Liverpool star equalised after the Moroccans had taken the lead through Sofiane Boufal’s first half penalty.

Salah then went on to provide an assist for Aston Villa star Trezeguet to fire the Pharaohs to a 2-1 win after extra time.

However, amid the post-match celebrations Salah knelt down to comfort Hakimi who was sat on the pitch, clearly devastated at missing out on a place in the last four.
