What Mikel Arteta has changed in Arsenal training amid Man City Premier League title battle

Arsenal have introduced a painting of the club's badge alongside a slogan that says: "Train to Win" at the club's London Colney training base.

Members of Mikel Arteta's squad will see the mural every day at training, a classy touch from the Spaniard, who has consistently spoken about changing the culture of the club for the better. Speaking when he arrived as the Gunners head coach back inn December 2019, Arteta said: "You have to be ruthless, consistent and fit every day the culture of the club to create a winning mentality.

"Every day is important, every act is important." Fast forward just over three years and he has certainly changed the trajectory of the north London outfit.

Arsenal now find themselves at the top of the Premier League standings, five points clear of second-placed Manchester City with just 12 games remaining in the season. But the title race is far from over, something that Arteta, who spent three and a half seasons as City assistant coach, has constantly spoken about.

"We want to stay there, but it is going to take a lot of effort," he said on Saturday after his side beat Bournemouth 3-2. "There are still a lot of games to be played.

"In the Premier League every game, unfortunately, is like that, but that is the beauty of it."
