What Mason Mount did before Kai Havertz scored vs Burnley in Premier League win

Chelsea ran away as 4-0 victors at Turf Moor on Saturday.

The win has given Chelsea some breathing space in the race for top four as they solidified their position in third.

After an underwhelming first half, Thomas Tuchel's men exploded into life in the second half and scored four goals in 25 minutes to kill Burnley off and take all three points.

Reece James sparked the upsurge in quality, arrowing a shot past Nick Pope to open the scoring. Kai Havertz then scored two goals in two minutes to put Chelsea in a comfortable position going into the last third of the game, before Christian Pulisic rounded things off 21 minutes before time.

The Blues have bounced back well since suffering a difficult penalties loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final last weekend, and it appears as though their team spirit is high.

That much was proved by Mason Mount, who showed an enormous amount of confidence in fellow teammate Havertz.

It seemed that Mount knew Havertz was going to score before the German frontman even took aim for his first goal. Christian Pulisic sent a cross into the back post and as it soared over Connor Roberts' head to the unmarked Havertz, he simply had to guide a header home.

And Mount knew he would have no problems doing just that as he was pictured celebrating the German's first goal before he even connected with the header past Nick Pope in the Burnley net, showing that he trusted his teammate to finish off the Blues' move.

It's not much in the grand scheme of things, but having confidence in the players around you is one of the foundations of success.

The Blues now have a few days rest before travelling to Carrow Road to face relegation battling Norwich City on Thursday evening.
