Andy Robertson has opened up on what he spotted in Luis Diaz’s first training session at Liverpool.
The Reds claimed a 2-0 win over Leicester City in the Premier League on Thursday night, thanks to a brace from Diogo Jota.
Jurgen Klopp opted to start Diaz to hand the Colombia international his Premier League debut following his £49million move from Porto.
The 25-year-old started on the left wing for Liverpool, with Roberto Firmino through the middle and goalscorer Jota on the right.
Diaz only arrived on Merseyside last Friday, and Robertson has opened up on how he was impressed with the new signing in his very first training session.

Robertson told BT Sport: “His first training session [I saw] him flying about and thought ‘yeah, he’ll be okay here’.
“We just need to let him bed in, he’s still got the language to hopefully pick up and the way we play but for his first start I thought he was excellent today.
“Him flying into tackles, that’s one way to get the crowd to love you straight away.”
Diaz and Robertson worked in tandem together on the left wing, and the Scotland captain admitting that the new signing still has to overcome the language barrier.
However, Robertson believes that Diaz combined with the return of Sadio Mane and the other forward players means Liverpool have plenty of options up front.
“My Spanish isn’t great and I don’t think his Scottish is quite up to scratch but we made it work today,” said Robertson.
“Obviously my partnership with Sadio over the last five years has been special. He’ll come back full of confidence winning a major trophy for his country and, like Jota said, we’ve got options - that’s the most important thing.
“We got options to bring off the bench. We’ve seen a really strong bench today, Hendo just missed out, we got Sadio still to come back, a couple lads got left out but we got competition all over the park.
“It will keep pushing each other, we’ll keep putting pressure on each other and hopefully the results keep on coming.”
