What Jadon Sancho did at full-time after scoring first Man United goal since return vs Leeds

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho was the last player to leave the pitch at Old Trafford after scoring the all-important equaliser against Leeds United on Wednesday night.

At the end of October, the 22-year-old took a step back from the first team and social media as he focused on his mental health and improving his game. During this difficult period, Sancho put in plenty of work off the field to come back sharper.

This included flying out to the Netherlands to undergo his own personal training programme recommended by Erik ten Hag. Sancho would eventually return to the first team in February as he came off the bench to feature against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup.

While that night marked a big personal milestone for the winger, his impact off the bench against Leeds will live long in the memory for him. United were 2-0 down when he was introduced on the hour mark following a Wilfried Gnonto strike and a Raphael Varane own goal.

Moments after Sancho came on, Rashford scored a brilliant header to bring the Reds back into the contest. With 20 minutes to go, the comeback was complete thanks to Sancho.

Cutting inside, the 22-year-old's shot evaded a group of Leeds defenders to somehow find its way into the back of the net. United would go on to push for a winner but ultimately had to settle for a share of the spoils.

After the game an appreciative Sancho took the time to thank the United fans who have stood by him over the last few months when he was going through a tough spell. MUTV reported that the forward was the last player to leave the pitch as he applauded the supporters who had stayed behind after the game.
