In need of quick and simple breakfast or lunch ideas as we start the new year? There’s a new recipe that appears to have taken social media by storm – putting a new twist on the trusty dish we know as cheese on toast.
Viking Toast – which appears in the latest Pinch of Nom book – is inspired by the melty cheese and onion from its popular Viking Pork recipe. It contains cheap and basic ingredients such as cheese, onions, egg and milk and resembles a Welsh Rarebit.
Pinch of Nom Enjoy was written by best-selling authors Kate and Kay Allinson. The two chefs first started sharing their tried and tested slimming recipes back in 2016, gaining an impressive 8,000 followers in just two months.
Today, they have more than 1.2 million followers on Instagram, with a further 1.6m on Facebook. Their Slimming Recipes & Support group on Facebook now has just shy of one million members.
Since Pinch of Nom Enjoy's release in December 2022, fans have been desperate to try out some of their new recipes - and of course share snaps of their creations on social media. Viking Toast seems to be the favourite at the moment, with many users describing it as 'yummy', and that they will 'definitely be making it again'.
See Pinch of Nom for more on how to access the full recipe.
