Tributes are being paid to online music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards, who died this weekend at the age of 31.
His mum, the Loose Women panellist Brenda Edwards, said in a heartbreaking statement: "As we come to terms with his passing, we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support.
"Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PHD."
The entrepreneur and Chelsea fan was responsible for setting up SB.TV and helped launch the career of some UK music's biggest names like Ed Sheeran and Dave.
His talent and career earned him an MBE for services to music in 2014 and he was also an ambassador for the Prince Charles' charity, The Prince’s Trust.
So how did the West Londoner go on to become such an influential name in the UK's music scene?
What is SB.TV?
SB.TV is an online media platform designed to discover up-and-coming musicians.
Jamal founded SB.TV as a YouTube channel in 2006 at the age of just 15, when mum Brenda bought him a video camera for Christmas. The young entrepreneur would upload rap videos of himself and, finding that his videos got a lot of views, began to realise this could be a good way to build a business.
The channel is named after Jamal's rap name SmokeyBarz, and featured the likes of Jessie J, Stormzy, Rita Ora, Bugzy Malone and Ed Sheeran during their rise to fame.
Speaking to MailOnline in 2013, Jamal said: "Back then, there was no place to showcase our sort of spitting and rapping, so I thought, OK, I want to create that platform."

Jamal's tragic passing occurred because of a 'short illness', Brenda confirmed.
She said in a statement: "It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness. Myself, his sister Tanish and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world."
Only four days ago, Jamal posted a tribute to the 'OG' and 'brother' Ed Sheeran on his birthday, saying: "You know you've been mates a long time when you lose count on the years. Keep smashing it and inspiring us all G!"
What was Jamal Edwards' net worth?
Edwards' net worth was an estimated £7.3 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
It also reported that SBTV Global, founded in August 2010 and following on from the YouTube channel, is also worth around the same amount.
From building his SB.TV business, Jamal set up the label Just Jam and also turned his attention to modelling at various points, presenting his own range of headwear with Topman, where he worked growing up.
Not settled with just a huge amount of financial success with his name, the SB.TV founder turned his attention to charity work and founded JE Delve.
The charity's website said "[JE Delve provides] young people in Ealing with opportunities to learn, work and connect. Through our partners, supporters and the wider community, JE Delve aims to provide a sense of community for young people in the local area.
"A social, safe space of their own where they can develop their skills, explore who they are, connect with others and a focus on nurturing a positive identity & agency."
