What is on BBC Three tonight as the TV channel returns after being online-only for 6 years

After six years, BBC Three is finally returning to television.

In 2016, the channel transferred to be an online channel, with its shows available only on BBC iPlayer.

However, tonight, it will be returning to traditional TV.

The lineup for launch night is something to look forward to - here's what is in store.

BBC Three x Radio 1: The Launch Party

The first show to kick off the launch night of BBC Three will be the launch party, hosted by Radio 1 presenters Greg James and Clara Amfo. The pair will be throwing a party to celebrate the return of the show to TV. This will air at 7 pm.

The Catchup

The Catchup is a news programme that will follow the launch party at 7.55pm. It will be a quick round-up of the day’s news for five minutes.

Eating with My Ex

At 8pm, a special celebrity edition of Eating with My Ex will be showing on BBC Three. This episode will show Too Hot To Handle’s Chloe Veitch and Kori Sampson, as well as Rap Game UK’s Lesia and D Live. This will be a double bill because at 8.30pm another episode will air, this time featuring Geordie Shore’s Bethan Kershaw and Ibiza Weekender's Callum Izzard reuniting with their ex-partners.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs the World

Following this, at 9pm RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs the World begins. In this episode, Spice Girl Mel C joins the judges as the contestants compete to become Queen of the World.

Lazy Susan

At 10.15pm a new sketch show, Lazy Susan, will be broadcast.

Cherry Valentine: Gypsy Queen and Proud

If you’re looking for a documentary to get into, at 10.30pm Cherry Valentine: Gypsy Queen and Proud will be showing. It will follow the life of George Ward, who left the Gypsy community at age 18. It explores the question of whether he can now be accepted as a queer Gypsy.

Fleabag

At 11.30pm there will be a double bill of the first two episodes of Fleabag. The comedy series has won and been nominated for multiple awards including Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy (2020).
