Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has a new look that is worlds away from her character Arya Stark's style. The 24-year-old has incorporated a new tone into her hair, to go with her bleached eyebrows.
Maisie, who was born in Bristol and grew up in Somerset, has slightly edited her bleach blonde look, to include shades of brown in her mullet. Last week, her hairstylist, Jadah Dale, shared Maisie's new look on Instagram, to rave reactions from fans and followers.
The final episode of Game of Thrones aired in May 2019, after eight seasons of the fantasy drama which garnered a cult audience and a historical number of Emmy nominations. But, after playing Arya Stark for eight years, what is Maisie up to now?
In 2020, when the world was largely locked down, Maisie starred in a number of critically-acclaimed films and television series. From Sky original Two Weeks To Live, to starring in The New Mutants alongside Anya Taylor-Joy and Charlie Heaton, there was no shortage of Maisie on our screens during the first year of the pandemic.
Aside from the release of season two of animated series 'Gen:Lock', Maisie has no acting credits for 2021. However, that does not mean she's not been busy, as the actress is working on a number of projects in the background.
Maisie has enjoyed a successful modelling career so far, wearing looks from Prada and Cartier, and appearing on the covers of magazines - L'Officiel, Rolling Stone, and Metal.
In May, the actress announced that she was launching a podcast called 'Frank Film Club', alongside filmmaker Lowri Roberts and casting director Hannah Marie Williams. Describing the podcast, the Somerset native said: "Frank Film Club (in a nutshell) is a film club for people who love films but get flustered when asked to articulate why - anything goes and everyone's welcome!".
Maisie attended the Met Gala in New York in September, and donned a glamorous black look which she said was inspired by 'my love for the action heroes that I grew up watching; Ripley, Trinity, Sarah Connor'. The star's glimmering silver and green jewellery was courtesy of Cartier, whilst her boyfriend's, Reuben Selby, team designed her hand-embellished dress, train, corset and Matrix code bodysuit.
Reuben and Maisie tend to be relatively hush when it comes to their relationship, which was established in 2019. The pair can usually be found sitting front row at fashion shows, sharing magazine covers, or even just exploring nature together, as evidenced by the Game of Thrones actress' birthday post for her beau last year.
Speaking of nature, Maisie attended COP26 in November, and was 'humbled' to meet David Attenborough, who she said was 'the world's greatest living naturalist, and a hero of mine for as long as I can remember'. She also appeared in a live stream alongside other environmentalists in an attempt to instil 'some kind of hope' into young people.
As for 2022, Maisie has some pretty exciting things lined up. Alongside The Witcher's Emma Appleton and Enola Holmes' Louis Partridge, she will be starring in 'Pistol', a mini series based on the memoir of Sex Pistols icon Steve Jones, who helped usher in a punk revolution to Britain, which is currently post-production.
Maisie will also be lending her voice acting skills to 'MultiVersus', a crossover fighting video game featuring many different Warner Bros properties, including Game of Thrones, as she reprises her role as Arya.
