We may still be a month away from Halloween, but the spooky season has come early this year as Hocus Pocus 2 is finally being released. The Sanderson sisters, Winifred, Sarah and Mary, are returning for the long-awaited sequel - a treat for all fans of the Halloween cult classic Hocus Pocus.
The first film was released almost three decades ago, back in 1993, and now the original trio of witches are making a comeback. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy have reunited and reprised their roles for this spooky new adventure, which Disney says will feature more "comedic mayhem".

Where can I watch Hocus Pocus 2 and when is it being released?
Hocus Pocus 2 is available to watch exclusively on the streaming service Disney+ from Friday, September 30, 2022. You can view the trailer for the sequel at the top of this article - the comedy film is an hour and 47 minutes in length.
The synopsis for the sequel reads: "It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve".
For those wanting to re-watch the first film before the latest instalment, the first Hocus Pocus is also available to stream on Disney+. A Disney+ subscription costs £7.99 a month or you can get an annual subscription for £79.90.
