The Washington Commanders came close to being called for a palpably unfair act in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship Game on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
They were called for encroachment multiple times with the ball inside the Washington one.
Frankie Luvu flew over the line twice. The team was collective in its act the third time.

I’d never heard of a rule that allowed referees to award a team a score as was suggested by the official in the Commanders-Eagles game, but sure enough, here it is. Rule 12, Section 3, Article 4. pic.twitter.com/wmDHe5s2d2
