Chelsea's takeover now being fully done hasn't only come as a relief to supporters who have been waiting around anxiously for Roman Abramovich to make his next decision on his long-term heir to the Stamford Bridge hot seat, but also to the employees of the club at all levels.
The players had been playing the second half of the season, knowing all the turmoil and uncertainty that has been going on off the pitch with Abramovich being sanctioned and what that could mean for their footballing futures in West London. But it isn't just the playing squad that have been blindsided by this whole situation. The club employees who work in different areas like the megastore, ticket office and hospitality have had their own lives thrown up in the air by the sanctions imposed by the UK Government.
As a consequence, many of the employees have been waiting for this situation to be sorted out with the megastore, ticket office and hospitality areas all being affected by this whole situation, but not anymore, as of May 30. The club and the board of directors have confirmed that Boehly and his Clearlake Capital consortium have fully completed their takeover, ending months of uncertainty for all associated with Chelsea Football Club.

The initial statement which was released first, read in parts: "Roman Abramovich has completed the sale of Chelsea Football Club and related companies to an investment group led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital. Throughout this process, we have worked very closely with the UK Government, in particular the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and HM Treasury, as well as with the Premier League, The FA and UEFA. In order to complete the transaction, we needed consents and approvals from all, and in particular from the UK Government.
"We have been able to obtain all necessary consents, as well as further licences required in Portugal, Canada and Jersey due to the structure of the previous ownership."
With all now settled regarding the sale of the Blues which is believed to total around £4.25billion, as well as the upcoming summer transfer window for the men's and women's side, Boehly and co will ensure that all operations in the immediate future will resume as normal, meaning that Chelsea megastore, who are already offering up to 80% off certain items from 2021/22 as a thank you gift, alongside the ticket office and certain hospitality areas will re-open for business in the coming days and weeks.
