What will happen to national events if the Queen dies?

The passing of Queen Elizabeth II would start a national period of mourning across the UK, which would span across ten full days. According to the latest plans, large events such as sports fixtures would be postponed as a result of this tragic event.

Various other events would also be cancelled, and the Stock Exchange would also close. Parliament would reconvene as well, if it was not already in session at the time.

Flags across the country would be put to half mast, and TV and radio stations would broadcast alternative schedules. These plans would all be announced on various media platforms to the public, should the Queen pass away.
