Jordan Henderson had no time for a friendly exchange last night as he may have snubbed Kylian Mbappe in the tunnel before kick-off.
The Liverpool captain and his England side ultimately fell short at the quarter-final stages after a 2-1 defeat at the hands of France. Harry Kane was able to cancel out Aurelien Tchouameni's first-half opener from the spot but failed to do so again late on, his skied penalty allowing Olivier Giroud's header to win a tight and tense affair.
Henderson was at his relentless best again, trying to drive his side forward from midfield and pressing with an energy so often seen under Jurgen Klopp. The 32-year-old cut an intensely focused figure throughout his 79 minutes on the pitch, and equally so in the tunnel beforehand it seems.

So much so that the Reds midfielder was caught on camera seemingly ignoring Mbappe in an awkward moment before the sides walked out - although it is not fully clear if Mbappe was aiming to attract the attention of a mascot instead. Either way, Henderson remained focused and looked straight ahead.
The France and Paris Saint-Germain star approached the other side of the tunnel before extending a hand, but the England man didn't bat an eyelid before Mbappe pulled away.
Never one to be overly friendly on the pitch, Henderson was also spotted fuming at Mbappe on occasion during play, not least when the pacey winger won a few cheap free-kicks as his side looked to kill the game.
Mbappe eventually has the last laugh, however, with his side progressing through to a semi-final clash with Morocco while England and Henderson head home.
