Virginia Giuffre, the campaigner who accused Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, is fighting for her life after a car crash involving a bus in Australia.
The 41-year-old shocked supporters on Monday when she took to social media to share a selfie of her lying on a hospital bed, covered in bruises around her jawline and eyes.
She revealed the first few months of 2025 marked “the worst start to a new year” and that she has just “days to live”.
Here is what we know about Ms Giuffre’s horror accident so far:
‘68mph car crash with a bus’
In her Instagram post, Ms Giuffre recalled she had been in a car which was “slowing for a turn” when it collided with a school bus.
It is unclear where the mother-of-three was driving the vehicle when the collision took place, or whether she was the one behind the wheel.
However, Ms Giuffre claimed to her 15,000 followers that the bus was travelling at 110km (68mph).
The incident is understood to have happened near her home in North Perth.
Minor accident?
Western Australia Police said they received one report of a "minor crash" between a school bus and a car in Neergabby, about 12 miles north of Perth, on March 24.
"The collision was reported by the bus driver the following day," a police spokesman said. "There were no reported injuries as a result of the crash."

The East Metropolitan Health Service, which runs Royal Perth Hospital, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that Ms Giuffre was not at any of their facilities.
And the Western Australia Public Transport Authority told the ABC they were unaware of any such crashes involving a bus.
Days to live
Ms Giuffre told her followers she is suffering from “kidney renal failure” following the crash and was transferred to a specialist hospital in urology.
But after being examined by doctors, Ms Giuffre said on Monday she was given “four days to live”.

In a statement shared with the BBC, her spokesman Dini von Mueffling said: “Virginia has been in a serious accident and is receiving medical care in the hospital.
“She greatly appreciates the support and well wishes people are sending.”
‘I want to see my children one last time’
Despite the efforts of medics, Ms Giuffre said she is “ready to go”' and wants to see her “babies one last time”.
"You know what they say about wishes," she added. "S**T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s**t at the end of the day."
'I had no idea about him... At that time there was nothing about Epstein being a paedophile.'

She signed off her Instagram post: "Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life."
Her father, Sky Roberts, expressed his support for his daughter by commenting on the post: “Virginia my daughter, I love you and praying you get the correct treatment to live a long and healthy life.”
Issues with her husband
Ms Giuffre had recently been living with husband Robert and their two sons and one daughter in Perth’s Ocean Reef community — although recent reports suggest the couple have split after 22 years of marriage.
She implied she was no longer living with her children in her last Instagram post before revealing the crash.
I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time
She wrote on March 22: “My beautiful babies have no clue how much I love them and they’re being poisoned with lies. I miss them so very much. I have been through hell & back in my 41 years but this is incredibly hurting me worse than anything else. Hurt me, abuse me but don’t take my babies. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens”
The pair, who met at a massage school in Thailand in 2002, previously lived on the Central Coast and Queensland in Australia, as well as Florida and Colorado in the United States.
Bombshell claims
Ms Giuffre first came into the public spotlight when a group of women accused disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein of sexual abuse.
Epstein, a convicted sex offender, was arrested in the United States of child sex trafficking but killed himself in a New York prison in 2019 before his trial.
She also accused Prince Andrew, a ‘friend’ of Epstein, of forcing her into sex on three different occasions when she was 17.
Ms Giuffre alleged she was trafficked a year earlier after his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell recruited her from her job as a locker room attendant at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

Despite vehemently denying the allegations, the Duke of York paid millions to settle a civil sexual assault case with Ms Giuffre — a woman he claimed never to have met — in 2022.
He also made a substantial donation to her sex trafficking charity Speak Out, Act, Reclaim, which she founded under its previous moniker Victims Refuse Silence in 2015.
The scandal forced the royal family to remove Andrew's military titles and royal patronages. He stepped down from public life in 2020 following an infamous interview on BBC Newsnight.
Epstein’s longtime associate Maxwell reached an undisclosed settlement with Ms Giuffre over a defamation case in 2017. Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking and other crimes in 2021.
