Who'd have thought it's been 25 years since the very first Hollyoaks episode - and one original cast member is still there today!
In fact, Channel 4 soap legend Nick Picard's character Tony Hutchison was the first person to speak a word during its first episode.
After a stereotypical 90s intro complete with motorbikes, a trashed car and a furious row - which is five minutes long with no speech whatsoever - Tony is seen strolling in a kitchen donning a white chef's hat and outfit.

"Just get rid of that," Tony tells Jeremy Edwards' leathers-clad character Kurt as he points to his bike helmet. "It's not exactly stealth technology - you might as well have a neon sign on your head."
So we know that Nick is still in the village, but what happened to the rest of the cast?
Shebah Ronay (Natasha)
Shebah's headstrong character Natasha Anderson met a tragic end on the soap when she had her drink spiked at an 18th birthday party.
Natasha collapsed and died on the dance floor in harrowing scenes that echoed the real life death of a teen called Leah Betts, whose death after taking an ecstasy tablet on her 18th birthday was covered in the national press at the time.
Hollyoaks was Shebnah's last major acting stint after she gave it up to focus on modelling, journalism and presenting.
She later spent four years as a film columnist for the News of the World and went on to become the lifestyle editor for Wedding Day magazine,
Lisa Williamson (Dawn)
Dawn Cunningham was the first official member of the Cunningham family to arrive in the village. The current members of the family in Hollyoaks include her sister Cindy, brother Tom, Holly and Alfie Nightingale.
Lisa's character Dawn was involved in a number of hard-hitting storylines, including teen pregnancy after an affair with her best friend's father Jack.

Her most heartbreaking storyline, however, saw her fall in love with Jambo - only to soon discover that she had leukaemia.
On Christmas Day 1997, Jambo and Dawn hired a rowing boat and he asked her to marry him, but she tragically died in his arms.
After leaving the soap, Lisa briefly appeared in a TV series called Dream Team and is currently a voice actor for commercial ads and promos.
Will Mellor (Jambo)
These days he has a huge list of casting credits to his name, but Will Mellor's first major acting break was playing happy-go-lucky Jambo Bolton.
Jambo had been good friends with Kurt Benson and Tony Hutchison, however he was often left on the sidelines as the "unlucky in love" one.
He ended up falling in love with Dawn, who tragically died of leukaemia just after they confessed their feelings for one another.

Jambo was never truly able to get over his feelings for Dawn and later left Hollyoaks in 1998 to start a new life in Anglesey.
Since leaving Hollyoaks, Will Mellor has starred in Casualty, Merlin, Waterloo Road, Broadchurch, Agatha Christie's Marple and Line of Duty.
He garnered a big cult following after Hollyoaks when he appeared as Gaz Wilkinson on Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
Will is currently starring in cop comedy No Offence and is married to Michelle McSween, who he has two children with.
Jeremy Edwards (Kurt)
Motorcycle-obsessed Kurt Benson was played by Jeremy Edwards and was considered the heartthrob of the village.
Kurt married Ruth Osborne but much of his storylines involved his feud with Rob Hawthorne, who got Kurt's sister hooked on heroin in a bid for revenge.
He later began an affair with Kate Patrick and, despite later trying to make it work with Ruth, they both decided to call it a day.

Kurt promised he would be her friend but just six months later he was tragically killed in a jet ski accident in 1999.
After leaving the soap, Jeremy played Danny Shaughnessy in Holby City until 2003.
He also dipped his toe into reality TV and appeared in the third series of Celebrity Big Brother, where he finished in fourth place. Jeremy also appeared in Celebrity X Factor in 2019 after forming a duo with Brendan Cole.
Jeremy married Lydia Metz on 2 May 2009 and had previously been engaged to Rachel Stevens in 2002 before they broke up a year later.
Brett O'Brien (Louise)
Brett had briefly played Louise Taylor in Hollyoaks from 1995 until 1996.
Louise had been best friends with Maddie Parker, Dawn Cunningham and Natasha Andersen and was dating a man called Joe.
But after catching Joe with another woman at her 17th birthday party, she started getting closer to Kurt.

However the pair ended splitting up after refusing to have sex with him.
Louise struggled in the aftermath of her friend Natasha's death and, after developing a relationship with traveller Tree, left the village with him.
Since leaving the soap, Brett has starred in Dream Team, Doctors, Wire in the Blood and Law & Order: UK.
Her biggest role since Hollyoaks was Mary Cook in The Bill from 1997 until 2006.
Yasmin Bannerman (Maddie)
Sassy Madeline Parker was played by Yasmin Bannerman until 1997 and was involved in a major stalking storyline.
Maddie's old flame Michael turned up after her fears he was following her and, initially, she seemed to warm to him. But after becoming concerned over his jealous behaviour, she ended up dumping him.
It was later revealed that Michael had become mentally ill and increasingly obsessed with her becoming his wife.
Michael ended up kidnapping her and her friend Jude and took them hostage.
She refused to put on a wedding dress and marry him after he drove them all to Scotland. In retaliation, he dragged Jude up onto the roof and Maddie put on the dress to distract him.
After Jude managed to escape his clutches, Michael fell off the roof to his death.
Maddie struggled to cope following his death and ended up leaving the village to escape all of the memories that were haunting her.
Yasmine went on to appear in Red Dwarf, Cold Feet, Holby City, Killing Me Softly, Doctor Who, Torchwood and Life on Mars.
