Frank Lampard's second stint as Chelsea manager started with a 1-0 loss at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers. A Matheus Nunes goal in the first half was enough to separate the two sides on what was a frustrating afternoon for the Blues.
"I think it's a big task. You're managing Chelsea Football Club," Lampard said after the game.
"We know we're not in a position we want to be in. There's always a reason for it, the reality of the league season. I was aware of that and I didn't expect to solve everything in one day.

"At the same time, maybe a bit of it, I think it was a performance if I really analyse it and you want to win a Premier League game, I think you have to have more aggression in your game. More speed, more competitive duels that go your way rather than the opposition. That baseline of stuff of a team that our fighting for their Premier League lives will always dictate the turning of the result of the game regardless of the talent maybe on each side.
"I think there was a little bit of that today. The players need to be aware of that because without that you can't win games and you can't be the team that Chelsea have been and we want to get back to. It was interesting to see in many ways. I'm here to help with that."
Interestingly, before the game, Lampard was spotted going over to the away section at Molineux Stadium. The former midfielder received a "fantastic reception", according to football.london's Chelsea Writer Bobby Vincent.
Writing on Twitter, he said: "Frank Lampard going over to the away supporters right now. Getting a fantastic reception. #CFC."
It remains to be seen how the season will play out for Chelsea between now and the end of May, but many Blues supporters will be hoping Lampard can turn the club's fortunes around.
