Kieran McKenna has insisted all of his focus remains on getting Ipswich Town back up the football pyramid amid links to the vacant Brighton job.
McKenna left his role as first-team coach at Manchester United after Ralf Rangnick was hired to take over from the sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the rest of last season. The Northern Irishman wasn't out of work for long as League One side Ipswich quickly moved to make him their new manager.
Despite it being his first managerial position, McKenna made a strong first impression at Portman Road and currently has his side top of the table. The early success has seen him linked with Brighton, who are on the hunt for a new manager after Graham Potter left to take over Chelsea.

However, McKenna's eye isn't wandering as he remains focussed on getting the Tractor Boys out of the third division. "Very much so," he replied when asked if he would be able to achieve all his ambitions at Ipswich at a fans' forum.
"I think I've said a few times that I wouldn't have come to any League One football club. It's my first opportunity, but I think I could and would have had opportunities at higher levels. But I wanted to come to a project with massive potential.
"With the history, the fanbase and the potential with the investment that was there... this felt like a perfect fit for me. That was the judgement I made and I couldn't be happier with that judgement.
"My 100 per cent focus is on the short, medium and long-term future of the club. I plan to hopefully be a big part of bringing this club back to the level where it belongs. That's where my focus is completely at. The club has massive potential and I really want to be the manager to bring the club to that level."
