What Everton, Southampton and West Ham supporters are saying about Leeds United relegation battle

West Ham United, Everton and Southampton fans have been discussing the relegation battle on social media after another eventful weekend of Premier League action. Leeds United's 1-0 defeat against Everton saw them plummet into the relegation zone, while the Toffees climbed out of the bottom three for the first time since January 3.

Southampton stay at the foot of the Premier League table, but have boosted their chances of safety by registering back-to-back victories over Chelsea courtesy of stunning 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge. West Ham, however, were condemned to a 2-0 defeat against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, as the heat continues to rise on David Moyes' managerial hot seat.

Here is how all three sets of supporters have been reacting on social media...

West Ham

@bubblemaster3 Lose at the weekend and our humiliation will be complete. Forest is a massive must-win game. Lose it and I think most will lose hope at this stage. The West Ham cycle is at work still it seems, never a relegation season too far away sadly. Always been the same!

@Andy00077385 Really worried that this is looking like a relegation season. Injuries to big signings, captain wanting to leave, director of football saying 'we are West Ham, what do people expect', manager effectively saying 'relegation fights are to be expected for West Ham'. Hope I'm wrong.

@WestHam_Info They are not even that good. We should've gone at them, scare them. But what do we do? Sit back and try to get a 0-0. It has to change!

@westhampremier Moyes kept his job by the skin of his teeth by beating Everton last month. IMO I reckon he'll be sacked if he doesn't beat Forest on Saturday. Then he'll have a free hit against Brighton and if lose that then has the Villa game to keep his job. Rise and repeat until May.

@dpow3n Hurtling towards the Championship. Please start playing Lanzini, Ings, Benny and other attacking players. No good having them on the bench and bringing them on 2-0 down.

Everton

@PeterPapadopo11 Very pleased the the win and well done to everyone involved. We have to keep it up starting with Villa next weekend. Our home form is paramount to the club staying up.

@Sanassee Massive result. Back-to-back home clean sheets. Just need to be more clinical and we will be fine.

@MikolajKowalcz Amazing what happens when employ a manager who has been successful at this level while spending very little money. Instead of employing a manager who could only just about do 'OK' despite having a squad of superstars and spending big. Common sense has and always will prevail.

@DpoidMonopod Wins a win, I'll take that happily. Another 3 points in the bag, it'll do for me, thought we were deffo going down, now in with a fighting chance.

@bmbr_l Difference is one’s a hard talking, experienced manager who’s been in the league for years compared to a young manager who had inherited a good Chelsea team who wasn’t tough enough or experienced enough. Dyche is clear of Lampard.

Southampton

@ceiframpton A fantastic win in the ‘capital’ Selles came with no nonsense. Dressed smart , commanded respect and got the job done. Smile on his face . We enjoyed the fight out there today. A long way to go but a fantastic must win game won. Congrats boys . Freed from Jones … relief.

@Shaunsaint1976 The press was back, and we actually looked like we had a plan and knew what we were doing! Shows that maybe the last guy was not a tactical genius after all!

@AdeMcKenzie We may have had reservations about the line-up, maybe a bit dubious about Selles interim appointment. But Ruben has those lads motivated, they clearly love him. One game doesn’t prove anything, but I think we’d be hard pressed to find better right now.

@TBowdery27 Equalled Nathan Jones points total in 90 minutes.

@lisasaintsfcfan We need stability. A contract until the end of the season at least is needed. The players want him, he wants the job, the fans love him. No brainer.
